Supposed Image of a Bullet Passing Former President Trump's Head is Questionable
Certainly this could not have been a bullet that struck the ear. [Update 2024-07-15.]
Most likely you have seen this image attributed to New York Times photographer, Doug Mills:
If this is an authentic image of a bullet, as it is purported to be, it could not have been—at the very least—the bullet that struck the right ear of former President Donald Trump.
Even [or I should say, “especially”] accounting for parallax, the trajectory is unlikely, in my opinion, to have transited the upper ear of the former President.
It might be argued that this is another projectile that missed the the former President completely, again, assuming this photograph to have captured an actual bullet from the rifle of the alleged sniper.

I believe the analysis here is incorrect with respect to the relative position of the bullet with respect to the wound. The point of view -location of camera - was approximately at the height of the stage. Therefore, objects behind the candidate tend to appear lower relative to the candidate than they actually are. However, I do think the appearance of the bullet is more than suspect - wrong length of the streak for one thing. I explain more here: https://peteryim.substack.com/p/the-magic-bullet
Seriously? What did you think you saw? A shaving cut?
